6 Megapixel, 12x Optical Zoom, 60 Frames-Per-Second Shooting, HD Movies, Movies up to 1,200 Frames-Per-Second
This model incorporates a high speed CMOS sensor and a high speed LSI processor. With this model, Casio has achieved an ultra-high speed 60 frames per second (fps) burst rate for still images, together with 1,200 fps high speed movie recording that captures movement faster than the eye can see for ultra-slow motion replay. Moreover, the new model can record movies at full High-Definition.
Ultra High-speed Continuous Shutter Now you can capture exactly the moment you want, the moment it happens. Until now, digital cameras have been able to record consecutive images at speeds of only a few images per second. The Ultra High-speed Continuous Shutter (CS) capabilities of the EX-F1 are the fastest in the world,* shooting 6-megapixel snapshots at a speed of 60 fps. The shooting rate is variable for the 60 images, ranging from one image per second for a full minute (one image per second) to 60 fps. All of this means that the EX-F1 allows burst shooting at speeds faster than those possible with a single reflex camera, and beautiful images of each moment of high-speed action as it occurs.
High-speed Movie at up to 1200 FPS The 1200 frame-per-second (maximum) High-speed Movie capabilities of the EX-F1 makes digital imaging more fun than ever before. This means that you can easily shoot ultra slow-motion movies at speeds that have until now been available only on professional level cameras. Not only does this provide you with a tool for capturing dramatic moments not visible to the naked eye with amazing clarity, it also lets you collect valuable visual information for sport technique analysis, scientific experiments, nature studies, and much more.
30 - 300 FPS speed switching While 30-300fps is selected as the recording speed, you can toggle the movie recording speed between 30 fps and 300 fps by pressing the SET button or by operating the function ring. This provides you with the versatility to creatively match recording speed to the action as it happens.
Prerecord (Movie) Prerecord (Movie) helps to ensure that you never miss recording the moment you want even though you were too late with the record button. Prerecord (Movie) continually refreshes a five-second buffer with action captured by the camera's lens. Then when you press the record button, the current contents of the buffer are saved, followed by real-time recording. Prerecord (Movie) also can be used in combination with High Speed Movie and other movie functions.
High-speed Movie manual record mode The EX-F1 lets you configure camera settings manually while using High-speed Movie. You can select A, S, or M for the recording mode, and also configure aperture, shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity settings. Manual settings let you set up for maximum image sharpness, for movies that show the movement of insect wings and other very fast moving action.
Full HD movie The EX-F1 lets you shoot beautiful 1920 x 1080-pixel Full HD movies at a frame rate of 60 fields per second. A commercially available HDMI cable can be used to connect to a Full HD TV for big screen viewing.
Shooting Snapshots in movie You can shoot up to 20 snapshots with 6-megapixel while a movie is being recorded with Full HD, HD and standard mode and movie recording is continued seamlessly after also the snapshot is recorded. Simply press the shutter button during recording a movie. |
