Each month, Roberts Imaging in co-operation with our Online Photo Lab holds a public photo contest via our Flickr, and based on a new theme announced each month. Anyone can enter, and at the end of the month our own Jody Grober (or a special guest photographer) will select their top pick from our submissions and we will send that person a 16x20" print of their winning image!
So, if you've got a shot you just want to get out there, here's what to do:

Select up to two shots that you feel represent, define, explore, or otherwise illustrate the current monthly theme. Images not deemed to be congruent with the current theme will not be posted. If more than two images are received from any one entrant, only the first two received will be considered for the competition. |

Light Painting
Light Painting comes in two varieties, but both start with the idea of a long exposure. In one variety, small lights such as flashlights, LEDs, glowsticks, etc... are moved around to draw elements in light into a picture. The other way is to take a dark scene and use light (flashlights, floodlights, etc...) to carefully expose only the things you want to show.
Whichever style you prefer, Light Painting is this month's theme, so wait for that sun t set, close some blinds, grab a flashlight and get creative. Need some inspiration? why not check Flickr?
